This fish has an attitude! What a fun mosaic this was to create once the fish with a ‘tude’ showed himself! He knows how to harness the power of the celestial universe to get his way!

“Bubbles” is 26" x 18" and made with Mexican smalti, stained glass, glass mosaic tiles, beads, abalone shell, cabochon, millefiori, and polished and rough cut stones.
Yes, there is a manatee right smack in the middle. You can easily feel the relaxed and beautiful presence of this beautiful mammal. But look closer! This mosaic has many hidden, and not so hidden creatures throughout. What do you see? A lot goes on in the deep blue waters where the manatees and their friends reside.
The two gemstones used for the manatee’s tail were hand cut and polished by John F. Norris, of Taos, New Mexico. Part of the “Smalti in the Sky” series.

Measuring 19" x 31.5" x 1.75" this "Cathedral Mirror" was designed on an antique wooden base with metal layover. Tumbled glass and Mexican smalti were used for the mosaic tiles.
